Surf Cup International Morocco 2024 Wrap-Up

The inaugural Surf Cup International in Tangier, Morocco, was a resounding success, combining thrilling soccer action with rich cultural experiences. The event kicked off with a vibrant opening ceremony featuring music, cultural activities, and fun for all participating teams and their families.

Our partners, Global Sports Experiences (GSE), led cultural excursions around Morocco during the tournament. Highlights included a day trip to the picturesque blue city of Chefchaouen and an exploration of Tangier. Participants enjoyed a walking tour through Tangier’s enchanting Medina, experiencing historic landmarks and bustling markets.

The competition was fierce and filled with memorable moments. The tournament featured 18 teams, including 14 from Tangier, 1 from Casablanca, 2 Surf Select teams from the US, and FC America. FC America featured players from South Africa, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Algeria, Guinea, Canada, and the US, all with aspirations to play in the US one day. 

Participating teams in the U15 boys’ category were Rajae Beni Makada Tangier, Ittihad Tangier, Tanja Balya Club, Surf Select 10 White, C.R.B.F Club Rajae Al Boughaz, and Champions FA Tangier. In the U17 girls’ category, the teams were Surf Select 09 Blue, AGS, Club Manar Riyadi, Football Club Namae, A.C.S.B.F., and F.C.R.B.F. For the U17-19 boys, teams included FC America / IDA Select, Ittihad Tangier, C.R.B.F Club Rajae Al Boughaz, Green Stars, Wydad Tangier, and Tanja Balya Club.

  • BU15: Rajae Beni Makada Tangier (Final: Ittihad Tanja Balya vs. Rajae Beni Makada Tangier)
  • GU17: Surf Select (Final: Surf Select 09 Blue vs. AGS)
  • BU17: FC America (Final: FC America / IDA Select vs. C.R.B.F Club Rajae Al Boughaz)
