Things to do

in salou

  • The Beach of Europe

Salou is without a doubt one of the best known places in the whole Costa Dorada, as it is also known as "Beach of Europe."

Its beaches, shallow and fine golden sand, are ideal for children to play in the water and for all to enjoy long walks along the coast.

Salou is a modern city with high-rise hotels, bars and entertainment all geared to satisfy the every whim of the international visitor. There are a large number of pubs, clubs and discos along with a wide range of water sports and other leisure activities including golf, paragliding, hiking, cycling and horse riding. Nightlife in Salou is one of the liveliest of all the Spanish coastal regions.

  • Wine and Dine

With more than two dozen restaurants, bars and lounges within walking distance of the resort, you're sure to enjoy plenty of Spanish cuisine. Sit near the beach and watch the waves from Restaurant Beatriz or taste a custom cocktail at Twisted Lime, all just a few short minutes from your villa.

Celebrate a big victory after leaving the fields with a short walk down the beach for a meal and drinks under the cabana. There's no shortage of options, from family-friendly gatherings to the dad group sneaking away for a quick one. Your secret's safe with us, just be sure to tip your bartenders!

  • Portaventura World and Waterpark

PortAventura World is Europe’s main family holiday destination, with something for everyone. An exciting world of emotions, with three parks and five hotels.

At PortAventura World awaits an unforgettable and unique experience where you can enjoy the six worlds of the theme park and an exotic refreshing water park.

  • Shopping

The city’s commercial hub is divided into three main areas: Zona de Mestral, Zona Centre and Zona de Llevant.

In the Mestral Area, you can find a great variety of shops that are open for the entire year. That includes both small local businesses and renowned fashion brands.

The Centre Area is probably the best-known and busiest area for the whole season, especially in the summer. This seafront promenade is an ideal place for those willing to stroll along, both during day and night. Moreover, it provides a wide and varied shopping, cuisine and leisure offer for the whole family.

As for Llevant Area, it is the most frequented tourist area, with open shops and restaurants throughout the entire season. And don’t forget to buy a souvenir to mark your holidays in Salou!

  • City Sights and Nightlife

The main 'going out' area in Salou is the Carles Buigas. It runs from the end of the beach and is lined with fun bars and clubs. This street and the immediate surrounding area is known locally as 'Slammers.'. It is full of people who are looking for a night of drinking and dancing.

Salou nightlife attracts an international crowd of tourists and you'll see Dutch, French and English people everywhere. Typically people start to go out as soon as the sun has gone down and the clubs stay open until dawn. Dotted amongst the bars and clubs are plenty of ice-cream parlors and family restaurants.

  • Racing Through Spain

One of the most popular activities among children and older people are the races at Karting Salou. It consists of a race-track of more than 800 metres suitable for children and young adults over 14 years old. It even has another 300 metre circuit especially designed for children. You'll experience high speed, but everything is taken care of to ensure a safe ride.
